Sports Betting: What To Bet On This Week (June 1 – 7)

It’s back to some of the usual betting options this week as we wait for other sports and leagues to resume play. Bundesliga got the ball rolling on the pitch and other major European soccer leagues will soon follow the lead. The English Premier League, La Liga and Serie A all have restart dates later this month. The return to the playing field has been slow with all necessary precautions being taken. It remains to be seen how the civil unrest across the globe will affect things. Esports and simulated games are back to being a hot betting topic at online sportsbooks with those taking place every day, supplying bettors with numerous wagering opportunities. Let’s take a look at a few options on this week’s betting schedule.

Soccer

Bayern Munich maintained its lead in the Bundesliga standings with a 5-0 win over Fortuna Dusseldorf on Saturday, their second straight clean sheet and fourth consecutive triumph since the league resumed play. Bayern is off until the weekend but three matches dot the slate during the week. On Monday FC Cologne takes on RB Leipzig, Wednesday’s match has Werder Bremen taking on Eintracht Frankfurt and on Friday SC Freiburg battles Borussia Monchengladbach.

Bundesliga became the first major European league to resume play with EPL, La Liga and Serie A ready to hit the pitch later this month. Top leagues from Denmark, Austria, Croatia, Hungary, Poland, Russia, Czech Republic, Norway, Romania, Serbia, Israel and South Korea have either started or will resume play soon. Check out schedules and odds for all upcoming matches at BookMaker.eu.

Golf

The PGA Tour is scheduled to resume later this month. In the meantime we have some mini tours in operation. The West Florida Golf Tour opens its summer tournament schedule this week at Laurel Oak Country Club in Sarasota with the Player Championship. Out in Arizona the Outlaw Tour has members in Chandler for the Lone Tree Classic. The Coral Springs 2-day also gets underway. BookMaker.eu has tournament and matchup odds available.

Baseball

The Korean Baseball Organization regular season is in full swing supplying fans their fix on the diamond. All teams return to action Tuesday following Monday’s day off. First place NC Dinos stopped a 2-game skid with an 18-7 thumping of Samsung on Sunday and host SK Wyverns in a three-game series. Lotte Giants and Kia Tigers, teams in the middle of the KBO standings, will be featured on ESPN on Tuesday and Thursday with first pitch slated for 5:30 a.m. ET. Those are part of the six-game weekly package presented on the Worldwide Leader. The CPBL in Taiwan continues with its schedule of games on Tuesday. Betting lines and odds are available at BookMaker.eu.

Horse Racing

While we wait for other sports to get up and running, one thing we’ve been able to count on during the absence of most sports is the ponies. The week gets started with races at Tampa Bay Downs, Mountaineer Park, Laurel Park and Lonestar Park. Other venues joining in the action later in week are Belmont Park on Thursday, Churchill Downs on Thursday and Santa Anita Park on Friday. International tracks in South Africa and the UK are also featured in the racebook at BookMaker.eu.

Esports

If it’s called a showdown it must be a huge event. The BLAST Premier Spring Showdown is upon us. Teams in the American and European bracket play a round-robin format with a chance to reach the Global Final where the big money is at stake. There are other leagues taking place this week with Home Sweet Home, Dreamhack Masters, ESEA and the ESL Australia and New Zealand championship all competing in the most heavily wagered game in the esports community – Counter Strike: Global Offensive. Fear not however, because gamers are also competing in DOTA 2, Overwatch, League of Legends, Call of Duty and Rainbow Six to name a few.

While soccer has started to make its way back to the pitch for real in some countries, we’re still seeing a number of esoccer matches taking place. Check out the complete esports schedule and odds at BookMaker.eu when you’re ready to make a wager.
