Two of jumps racing Premier fixtures the Cheltenham festival the Grand National are just round the corner as anticipation continues to build. The 2018 Grand National is taking place on Saturday 14th April with star names from both the UK and Ireland set to race for prize money of £1 million. The World’s most famous race dates back to 1839 and has continued to build over time with a now estimated audience of around 500 to 600 million tuning in to watch the race.
This is a staggering figure and puts it on par with many of the other big sporting events around the world. Blaklion is vying for favouritism with the latest Grand National 2018 betting putting him at 14/1 following on from his highly encouraging four place in the 2017 running of the race.
