With a bunch of NBA stars going down with injuries lately we have to wonder how that will affect teams in their playoff push. And more importantly how does that impact our chances of winning at the betting window? The Phoenix Suns went all in dealing for Kevin Durant and the ROI was handsome with wins in each of the three games he played. KD hurt his ankle in warm-ups before Wednesday’s game and is out indefinitely. The Suns stomped OKC without him, but we’ll see how they do against Sacramento on Saturday.
The game between Dallas and Memphis will be minus several stars with Luka Doncic injured and Ja Morant away from the Griz over a personal matter. Needing someone to pair with Doncic to give the Mavs an upperhand, Kyrie Irving was acquired in a trade. Now it looks for the time being that it’s Irving’s team. On a less serious note the Milwaukee Bucks rested Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jrue Holiday with minor ailments and still knocked off Orlando 134-123 for the 18th win in 19 games. Both players are expected to be back in the lineup for Saturday’s primetime showdown with the defending champion Warriors. After digesting all this information it’s time to throw down on a NBA parlay for Saturday, March 11.
Indiana Pacers at Detroit Pistons
It’s been a difficult year for Detroit starting with the season-ending injury to 2021 No. 1 overall pick Cade Cunningham after just 12 games. That seemed to start a run of injuries with several projected starters missing huge chunks of time. As a result the Pistons slumped to the NBA’s worst record. They lost for the ninth straight time on Tuesday, 119-117, to Washington falling to 4-21 in their last 25 games with a majority of those setbacks not that close. The Pacers have their own issues as one of the teams currently outside the top 10. Indy is 4-3 in its last seven games following a 4-point loss to Philly on Monday. They covered the line in that contest and are 6-1 ATS in that seven game span. And it’s a good bet that Indy’s starters will get the best of Detroit’s role players. In fact I’m willing to bet on it.
NBA Parlay Pick: Indiana ATS
Boston Celtics at Atlanta Hawks
We’ve seen the Celtics do this on a few occasions this season. They’d lose a few games in a row and suddenly snap out of their funk and play some of their best basketball. Boston held down the top spot in the East for most of the season until they were surpassed recently by surging Milwaukee. A key to their success is avoiding long losing streaks. The Cs matched a season-high with their third straight loss on Monday but made sure the string wouldn’t continue by mauling Portland in their next outing. Following their two earlier three-game slides Boston responded with multiple game win streaks backed by MVP candidate Jayson Tatum, who dropped 30 on the Blazers Wednesday night. The Hawks split their first 66 games and have had problems with the Celtics lately losing three straight while going 0-3 ATS. The Hawks failed to score more than 101 points in those games and the UNDER has cashed in five straight.
NBA Parlay Pick: Boston ATS / UNDER
Milwaukee Bucks at Golden State Warriors
The last two NBA champs square off for the second and final time in the regular season. While the Bucks have maintained their championship look and have been on fire, the Warriors are in a fight in the congested West just to make the postseason. The teams split the series in each of the last two seasons and the Warriors are money at home, literally. The Dubs have the highest home cover rate in the NBA at 66.7 percent while going 27-7 at Chase Center. But this isn’t the same team that won the title last season. The Dubs boast a porous defense, which isn’t exactly what you want against Giannis and his mates. But the Bucks own the best record in the NBA thanks to the most efficient defense. They have a balanced and deep roster allowing them to score more than 130 points five times over the last 19 games where they went 18-1.
NBA Parlay Pick: Milwaukee ATS
