As we near the close of the college hoops regular season our chances of hitting a multi-team parlay at the betting window decrease. We will give it the old college try again for games on Wednesday after struggling last week in our first go around. With so many games to wager on it can be tough finding value picks but I’ll do my best to help in that process. There are some good games on the slate with most of the top conferences having a few tilts on the docket.
A top-20 battle in the Big East rages with No. 18 UConn hosting No. 20 Providence. Despite their 20-7 overall record the Huskies are just 9-7 in league play. And for the third time this season Houston is back at the top of the national rankings. The Cougars put their seven-game winning streak on the line at home against the second-place team in the AAC Tulane. Houston won the first meeting last month by 20 points. You can use the information to make your own wagers and hopefully stock that bank roll with a winning college basketball parlay card. You can bet parlays at Bookmaker.eu with odds for every game on the Wednesday schedule.
Wednesday College Basketball Parlay Picks
1 – Virginia Cavaliers at Boston College Eagles
You always have to assume a game featuring UVA is going to be a low scoring affair. The Cavs are most successful when playing a boring game limiting opponents’ chances at the offensive end. And once again they’ve been successful in carrying out their game plan leading the ACC with a 13-3 conference record while going 21-4 overall. They held their last two opponents and three of four to less than 60 points holding teams to an average of just 60.1 points for the year. Oddsmakers adjust and set totals for UVA games at ridiculously low amounts. Three of the last four meetings between these squads had a closing total below 119. The Cavs aren’t the best road team but they are a lot better than BC winning and covering four in a row. UVA won at home last month 76-57 covering the 14-point line. BC scored fewer than 60 points in eight of the last 10 meetings but the Cavs did enough to cash the OVER in half those games. This is a good spot to double up with a parlay backing the visitors and the OVER.
Parlay Pick: Virginia ATS / OVER
2 – Wake Forest Demon Deacons at NC State Wolfpack
I didn’t plan on including multiple games from the ACC in this section but it’s hard to ignore one of the premiere conferences. And surprisingly neither tilt includes Duke or North Carolina, but as far as geography goes this one is pretty close. The Pack is coming off an impressive win over another rival UNC, turning things around after dropping 21 games last season. NC State has been dominant at home winning nine straight and 14 of 15 on the season. They are just 6-7-2 ATS in their gym and they upset Wake 79-77 last month as a 3-point road dog. The moneyline odds won’t be too outrageous so I’m backing NC State to win the game outright.
Parlay Pick: NC State ML
3 – Tulane Green Wave at Houston Cougars
We had some positive results in mid-major conference games last week unfortunately I didn’t see any games that stood out on Wednesday’s schedule. Houston returned to the top spot in the rankings with more upsets taking place. And with the revolving door at No. 1 and the amount of upsets we’ve seen this season I’m not sure the Cougs want to be in the position they find themselves in. This will be a huge test for Houston and don’t read anything into their 20-point victory in the first meeting. Since losing two straight last month the Green Wave has won five in a row scoring a bunch of points behind Jalen Cook, who averages 20.1 points. During the winning streak Tulane is averaging nearly 89 points and they lead the AAC with 82.3 points per game. Houston has the top scoring defense in the country allowing just 55.7 points and ranks among the top-three in field goal and three-point defense. Still, Tulane has weapons besides Cook and will keep the score close enough to get a road cover.
Parlay Pick: Tulane ATS
