The last full weekend of the college basketball season has a number of conference tournament and regular season games on tap for Saturday, March 4. Teams in low- to mid-major conferences are looking to win the automatic bid to the Big Dance with power leagues like the Pac-12, Big 12 and SEC playing out the string for seeds in their championship tournaments. That gives us a nice slate of games to make our college basketball parlay picks from, and if we have the same outcome as last week we’ll be rolling in the green again.
Last Saturday was a good day as I hit on a four-wager parlay with a mix of bets from different conferences. Backing Baylor on the moneyline in its Big 12 matchup with Texas was a good move with the Bears coming out on top with a 10-point victory. And Gonzaga doesn’t lose often so backing the Zags against a club that beat them earlier in the year was the right move. The Bulldogs lost two games during the WCC season and made up for those setbacks with impressive wins in the rematch games. I sided with the Zags against the spread and backed the OVER in their 77-68 win over Saint Mary’s. And lastly I took San Jose State and the points in a home matchup with Mountain West heavyweight Boise State. The Spartans have been money at home and they paid off for me with a 74-68 overtime win as a 3.5-point dog. Let’s continue the heater this Saturday with more winning college basketball parlay picks.
College Basketball Parlay Picks for Saturday, March 4
Kansas Jayhawks at Texas Longhorns
We’re not talking about a national championship but the Jayhawks have all the tools to repeat. The only thing that could bring me down in a KU wager is their motivation. The Jayhawks sealed the Big 12 regular season title by winning their last seven games while going 5-2 ATS and it would be easy to let this one go. But gearing up for another run and taking out another ranked team is motivation enough. Ascending to the top was apparently too much for the Longhorns, who faded recently with back to back losses and three setbacks in their last five games. They do get a home game in this one, but KU has the balance with Jalen Wilson, Kevin McCullar and Gradey Dick to take out Texas.
CBB Parlay Pick: Kansas ATS
Arizona Wildcats at UCLA Bruins
The series between Pac-12 powerhouses has been dominated by the home team recently, and with the Bruins looking to solidify their position as a national title contender beating rival Arizona is a step in that direction. UCLA has won four straight in the series at Pauley Pavilion doing it with the help of a stingy defense. And once again the Bruins are one of the best allowing less than 60 points per game this season. They’ve won nine in a row overall holding eight of those opponents to 64 points or less. And the Bruins have an experienced group led by Jaime Jacquez Jr. and Tyger Campbell. When the teams met in late January the Wildcats eked out a 58-52 win and we should see a similar paced game with UCLA dictating the tempo at home. That has me backing the Bruins and the UNDER in this matchup.
CBB Parlay Pick: UCLA ML / UNDER
Duke Blue Devils at North Carolina Tar Heels
There’s always plenty of excitement among fans and bettors when these ACC foes collide. It’s hard to get a handle on a game that’s more of a rivalry than it is for seeding and NCAA Tournament hopes. UNC will likely make the dance by virtue of their 19 wins and storied history, but in order to cement their status a win over Duke is a necessity. Both teams are playing well heading into this contest, but the Tar Heels get this one at home and ACC Player of the Year hopeful Armando Bacot has one more chance to knock off the Dookies. UNC is playing its best ball of the season winning three straight, including a 77-66 payout win over Florida State last time out with Bacot contributing just one point. R.J. Davis, Leaky Black and Caleb Love made up the difference, and the Heels are looking to avenge an earlier 63-57 loss at Cameron Indoor, which they do as one of my moneyline parlay picks.
CBB Parlay Pick: North Carolina ATS
