Each year brings new arrivals to the golf scene as well opportunities for other, slightly older players leave their mark. 2017 is no different and with a great season lined up ahead of us, now is the time to get to grips with who’s who, so that when it comes to wagering you know exactly what to do.

Thomas Pieters
The 25-year-old Belgian stud stands at 6’5” and has been golfing since he could walk, starting at the tender age of five. Turning pro in 2013 after dropping out of his classes at University of Illinois, and with three pro wins under his belt so far, Pieters latest achievement is scoring a -17 at the Made in Denmark tournament, coming in first place. After that, fellow golfer Darren Clarke nominated him as captain’s pick for the 2016 Ryder Cup.
2017 has already born fortunes for Pieters, in the form of landing in the top then performs in two tournaments. Pieters came in fourth in his first take at the Masters Tournament back in April, with a total of five-under 283. Just a month earlier, he came in fifth at the Mexico Championship, hitting his approach from 164-yards out to just 3-feet of the hole for a birdie.
Jordan Spieth
This all-American golfer took the leap to go pro in the 2015 Masters Tournament, marking his first big win with a 270(-18) and becoming the second youngest golfer to win the tournament, then just 21. The victory also saw him rolling $1.8 million into his bank account.
That same year, Spieth reinforced his title of youngest winner when he took home the gold at the US Open, with a score of 5-under-par. Prior to Spieth, amateur Bobby Jones held the record from his 1923 game.
His luck seemed to trail by the beginning of this year, when Spieth tied in third place when playing as defending champion at the SBS Tournament of Champions. Yet that all seemed to change by February, when he finished in first place at -19 at the AT&R Pebble Beach Pro-Am, although his performance seemed to fluctuate from game to game.
At the Travelers Championship, his first appearance at such a game, Spieth began with a 7-under-par 63 to lead after the first round, keeping his advantage as the game moved into the final round, ending at −12.
Charley Hull
Born in Britain and barely out of her teens, 21-year-old Charley Hull turned professional with the turn of the new year back in 2013, making her debut in March of that year with five consecutive second-place finishes on five different tournaments. She also finished sixth on the tour’s Order of Merit, ranking in about €135,995 in earnings from fifteen official events.
In November of last year, Hull registered herself to play at the LPGA Tour title at the season-ending CME Group Tour Championship and has since then climbed to the world’s top 20, playing regularly on the LPGA Tour in 2017, despite having a permanent wrist injury.
